Ingredients
- 6 dl Milk
- 50 g Fresh yeast
- 2 dl Sugar
- 1 tsp Cardamom
- 150 g Butter, melted
- 15 dl All-purpose flour
- ½ tsp Salt
Instructions
- Heat the milk until lukewarm (37°C/98°F).
- Crumble the fresh yeast into a large bowl and add the lukewarm milk. Stir until yeast is dissolved.
- Add sugar and cardamom, stir to combine.
- Pour in the melted butter (ensure it's not too hot).
- Gradually add flour and salt while kneading. The dough should be smooth and elastic, but not too firm.
- Cover the bowl with a cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- The dough is now ready to be used for various sweet buns, rolls, or pastries.
- For baking: Shape as desired and bake at 225°C (437°F) for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
